Community Baptist Church in Hanley began in 2018 when a group of people had the vision to see a Christ centred, Bible based, church in Hanley. With a culture around us that has turned from Christ, Community Baptist’s desire is to see that culture changed to reflect the Glory of God.
This change starts with the sharing of the gospel of Jesus Christ which transforms hearts. Through the resurrection power of Christ, hearts that are dead in sin are made alive and regenerated into hearts of flesh that love what God loves and hate what God hates. As the gospel goes forward, it transforms not only the heart but every area of life, marriage, family, work, relationships, etc. This refashioning of people, brings about the flourishing of the culture and all of God‘s creation, to the glory of the one who created it.
Our mission is to glorify God by faithfully proclaiming His Word and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are a church that desires to obey Christ in all we do. Our rule of faith and practice is always the Word of God (the Bible). Our passion is to see the Word faithfully proclaimed and lived out in our members.
We are not a church of perfect people, but a church of broken, sinful, people who have met Jesus Christ and have been forgiven by him. As a people who have been loved and forgiven, our desire is to show that love to each other and the world around us.
If you are a Christian, we welcome you to come and join us as we lift up our Savior Jesus Christ in worship. If you are not a Christian, we welcome you to come observe, ask questions, and find out who Jesus Christ is, and what He has done.
